This educational and advocacy-focused event will discuss ways the United States government can work to align maternal, newborn and child health, and family planning interventions to end preventable deaths. On the first day, participants will learn about AAP’s global programs and how they align with US funded survival programs throughout the world. Attendees will also learn how to craft an effective advocacy message and be a strong voice for children on Capitol Hill. Participants will have the opportunity to put these skills into practice on day two when they visit the offices of their Members of Congress.
