The Regents Loan Forgiveness Program is an initiative that seeks to increase the number of physicians practicing in areas of New York State designated by the Board of Regents as having a shortage of physicians, with an emphasis on primary care.  While this year’s deadline is fast approaching, the number of applicants for the current round is quite low.  Physicians and District II members need to know that the application deadline is June 1, 2015.  It would be unfortunate if we did not get enough applicants to fully take advantage of this opportunity.  More information is available here – http://www.highered.nysed.gov/kiap/scholarships/rplfap.htm .
